Santa Catalina always has been and is till today a fishing village. The amount of fish gathering around volcanic outcroppings around Santa Catalina and the islands of Gobernadora and Cebaco is enormous and the size of many of the fish is enormous too.

Knowledgeable local and international operators know where the best fishing sites are. You or your hotel can arrange your fishing adventure with a local boat captain. Depending on your time and budget you can choose between a couple of hours trawling around local fish spots or fishing in Coiba National Park.

The typical catches range from snappers, groupers and jacks to mackerels and tunas.
