Humpback whales are visiting the Gulf of Chiriqui from June to November. They give birth to their calves in the warm and shallow waters of the area. Best spots to watch whales are Coiba National Park and Cebaco. A number of local operators have been trained to follows international protocols for a safe and sustainable activity.
